Don't let that sweet face fool you!



One of our doctors went out of town this week and she asked me to dog sit for her five month old yellow lab. Of course, being the dog lover that I am, I said yes without even thinking. Did I mention that he is a PUPPY!? I had forgotten how crazy and wild those little furballs can be. Let's see, so far he has eaten every roll of toilet paper that I have in the house. He has managed to empty over every trash can in search of the perfect prize. He has been teething on my Ralph Lauren bedroom slippers. One of his new greatest pastimes is running head first into mud puddles. He absolutely despises bedtime. Certainly who am I to stop his fun? Certainly I don't need sleep. Ahh...the pleasures of puppy hood. At least they are cute... and Oscar is ADORABLE. Look at those eyes!

Aruba

We just got back from the most amazing vacation. We were blessed enough to be able to go to Aruba with my parents and cousin. It was absolute paradise. There is something so serene and calming when you are able to stand with your feet in the sand and look out into the absolute crystal blue water. Wondering if this is the place where the heavens meet the earth. This may sound a little too philosophical but in a place of such great beauty, how could one ever doubt the existence of God? Truly anything that perfect must have been created only by someone so Divine. We had the most amazing time. I know we haven't even been married a year yet and here we are taking another vacation, but we needed it. Marriage is hard. It is certainly the hardest thing that I have ever done. But during this trip I also realized that it was the best thing that I have ever done. Daily life and all of its demands overwhelm us at times. Sometimes we can go an entire day without really connecting. This trip was able to refresh us, almost to a point of giddiness! We made a promise to ourselves that once a year, we will take a vacation together. Not just to stay in love, but to FALL in love. All over again. And realize why we were meant to be together.
