Chris and I had a lovely anniversary. We didn't just celebrate that day, we celebrated the whole weekend. Saturday night had reservations at the same place our rehersal dinner was held. As soon as I walked in, I became weepy. Not because I was sad, but just because what wonderful memories were going through my mind. I remember that night so well. Everything about the night was flawless and special, and if I could, I would do it all over again. Anyway, the dinner was delicious and the waiter actually brought us a dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. After dinner, we drove to a bed and breakfast. It was built in 1840, and it was gorgeous. We were escorted to our room, called "the courting room" where we found a gorgeous fireplace, lovely brick walls, and a bathtub for two. So of course, I made Chris take a candlelit bath with me. Don't worry, I won't go into specifics. However, as we were glancing around our room, we happened to notice it had a theme. Bears! They were everywhere. It made me cry, knowing that wherever we go, Baylor is always with us. The next morning we were served a three course breakfast. I never even knew there was more than one course for breakfast! It was delicious. I'm pretty sure I consumed my daily caloric intake in that one sitting. Then we spent the day relaxing at the pool with another couple celebrating their 34th anniversary. But wait, the day wasn't over. My parents had us over to their house for dinner that night, where we celebrated again and watched wedding videos. Of course I cried again. Our wedding day was perfect. And there are times when I see my dress and think, maybe I'll just slip that back on. I loved my dress and everything about that day. After dinner, Chris and went back home and together ate our wedding cake up on the deck underneath the stars. The frosting was still quite good, the cake however was a little frostbitten. It was a great weekend, and God willing just the beginning of many more.
