Remember Jack? Well, his dad got accepted to a residency program in Neuroradiology at Mayo
Clinic in Rochester. He begins the program on July 1st. So my sister hosted a farewell party for them last weekend. I am heartbroken that they have to leave. The program is five years! By the time they come home Jack will be in kindergarten. Not to mention, he will probably have a sibling by then too. I have such love for Jack. He was born during my deepest depression. Loving him helped me to cope with my own sorrow. His needs were so great at the time that I couldn't focus on my own sadness. I got through each day by thinking of Jack. And now he is leaving. But he is going to Minnesota as a healthy baby, and he will grow up into a healthy boy. And I like to think that just maybe I had a little hand in his future.
