Well yesterday was just perfect. I spent the whole day with my husband, which is quite rare. He usually has to work weekends. I saw him more when he was a resident! So back to the day...we started the day by going to a basketball game. And we won! If our season keeps going this well, I will have to try to convince Chris to buy tickets to the Final Four! After the game, we took the Bear for a walk, and she was as spry as ever. And then it was Date Night. We went to dinner at a very nice restaurant, just the two of us. We had delicious food and even better wine. And then it was off to the Air Supply concert. Of course, Chris wasn't too thrilled about seeing Air Supply, but sometimes we have to sacrifice for the ones we love. He swore that he was losing some of his manhood by going to their concert, and that he could feel his genitals shrinking.....I told him he was exaggerating. Anyway we got to the Palace where he dropped me off to go park the car. As I was inside debating which shirt to buy, my cell phone rang. It was Chris asking me if I had his keys. I said no, which he of course didn't believe. He then told me that they were going to tow his car. I ran back outside, (in heels through the snow) to help him look for it. Still no key. Chris starts getting angry and I start getting weepy.....he tells me to go back inside and watch the concert and he will call my dad to bring an extra key. Well I walk inside and go to the Lost and Found. Eureka! Somebody turned in the key. I called Chris, and he sprinted back down to the theatre. And finally with a glass of wine in our hands, we found our seats and were able to enjoy the artistic performance of Air Supply. We even got to go up on stage. And you know who was singing the loudest? My husband. Oh and that picture of me with those two old guys...yep that's Air Supply.

I'm thinking Chris might have been secretly hoping to have to go find the keys and miss the fabulous concert. Like the new background!!!!
ReplyDeletelies, lies, LIES! first, i wasnt the loudest singer - that honor goes to my beautiful wife (tone deaf and all... and that's not mean either, because she will openly admit it :). secondly, jenni (smarty pants), i wasnt SECRETLY hoping to miss the concert - it was pretty much wide out there in the open :) LOL all in all, it was a great evening though!
ReplyDeleteIt seems as though Saturday was a typical Wendy & Chris day! I feel that Chris doesn't want to admit that he was singing loudly! It's alright Chris, Air Supply is a great band, anyone with character knows that! Hey Tuesday, great blog so far this is the first time I got to read becuause of the power outage! Thanks for sharing!! Look forward to reading more!
