On Sunday, my niece, Lily made her 1st Holy Communion. It is a really BIG deal. Not only do the little kids get to understand the meaning behind the bread and wine, (ie:Catholics believe that it is the actual blood and body of Christ) but the little girls get to dress up in beautiful white dresses. Of course Lily was the most beautiful girl there. The day brought back so many memories of when I made my 1st Holy Communion. How excited I was, how proud my parents were, how beautiful I felt. Oddly it seems like just yesterday that I was the little girl, so when did I get old?!
LOve the pictures. It seems that just yesterday you and Lee were standing on the alter holding her after baptism. Where does the time go? Thank you so much for being such a special part of her life!!
