Today is not my first mother's day. As long as I am alive I will honor her memory. And I will always be her mother. She was the baby that first gave me that hope and anticipation of motherhood. That unbridled excitement of what was yet to come. The fact that we never met is just a small detail. I am still her mother. This mother's day was as sweet as I could have ever imagined. I have waited a long time to have my arms filled, never imagining just how wonderful the reality would be. My boys have healed me.
