NICU Reunion

Every year the NICU has a reunion for all of their graduates. It's a wonderful opportunity for the parents to show off the accomplishments and health of their children, as well as for the doctors and nurses to see the growth and happiness of the little ones that they took care of. I love going. This year was a little different though. This year I wasn't an employee, but a guest. I was the momma to two little graduates. And being on the other side of things.....is a completely different view. I was so excited to show them off. Seriously I changed their outfits three times and had to consult Aunt Jenni on what they should wear. As soon as we walked in, my tears started flowing. I was just overwhelmed with emotion. From the fact that last year my arms were empty to this year both arms were full. From the fact that my good friends took care of my babies while they were sick, to the fact that little Blake is still having issues. I couldn't take off my sunglasses, because my eyes were so red and swollen. And sometimes it's easier to let the tears fall behind closed doors.

It was wonderful to catch up with families, unfortunately I didn't see my friends, Julie and Maddie. But I heard that they were there and quite adorable. We did see our friends Emmy and Marissa though.

  1. I love seeing pictures of you holding both of them. I always think about how good God is and how he REALLY filled your arms up! God is so much bigger than we can imagine. I wish I could have gone to the reunion! Also, that's the coolest stroller I've ever seen. ;) Love the onesies, too!
